Μ: I remember a Stuka. I don’t know if you know the Stuka. They were airplanes that dived vertically and then went up… it was flying low and it dropped a sack where the police were and immediately white flags of surrender were raised in most of the houses…
MA: What were the flags made of? Bed sheets?
M: Yes. There were also some pro- German who had the flags ready.
MA: Do you remember making the flag to fly it at your house?
M: We didn’t fly a flag… Many houses didn’t…

Μ: Θυμάμαι ένα στούκας. Τα στούκας είναι κάτι αεροπλάνα που πέφτουν έτσι κάθετα και ανέβαιναν. Και έπεσαν πολύ χαμηλά κι άφησαν ένα σάκο. Κι αμέσως τα περισσότερα σπίτια στήσανε λευκές σημαίες παραδόσεως.
ΜΑ: Από τι ήταν φτιαγμένες οι λευκές σημαίες; Σεντόνια;
Μ. Ναι. Υπήρχαν κι ορισμένοι γερμανόφυλοι, οι οποίοι είχαν έτοιμες και τις σημαίες.
ΜΑ: Εσείς θυμάστε τη στιγμή που φτιάχνατε στο σπίτι τη σημαία για να τη βγάλετε;
Μ: Δεν τη βγάλαμε… Πολλά σπίτια από πάνω δεν βγάλανε…
